Post-doctoral fellow (EMBO)
I completed my doctoral degree at the University of Georgia in 2013; here I studied the mechanisms of cell division and nuclear organization in the human parasite Toxoplasma gondii. During my PhD I got very interested in the central role that centrosomes play in many processes governing cell faith. I moved to Portugal in March 2014 to join the Cell Cycle Regulation group at IGC where I focus on understanding the temporal and spatial regulation of centriole biogenesis in human cells.
