I completed my Masters Degree in Evolutionary and Developmental Biology at Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa in 2011. My first internship was in the field of cytogenetics where I became interested in visualizing chromosomes in mitotic cells. Later, during my masters, I had the opportunity to observe the meiotic synaptic process in polyploid fish, which fuelled me the interest regarding the regulation of cell cycle. Here at IGC, I am given the chance to work in the field of cell cycle progression from the centrioles point of view.
